Saving Rice.

It’s the end of rice harvest season here at Navdanya’s Bija Vidyapeeth (seed university). Squares of hundred’s of rice patties are harvested at their roots with with sickles, bundled and left out to dry for a few days, then hand-thrashed onto concrete to remove the grains.
